At the heart of every box is our little booklet, For You, After.
I created it specifically for someone experiencing the loss of a loved one to suicide.
It doesn't try to explain grief or tell someone how they should be feeling. Instead, it talks gently about some of the things they may be experiencing, the shock, anger, guilt, unanswered questions and sadness, while reminding them that there is no right way or timeline for grief.
 
Sometimes there simply aren't the right words.
I hope this little book can provide a few when they're needed.

Why I Created This Gift
This box is particularly close to my heart.
I lost my own uncle to suicide, so I understand some of the difficult emotions and unanswered questions that can follow this kind of loss.
 
I also trained as a Samaritans listening volunteer. One of the most important things I learned was that you don't always need to have the right words. Sometimes simply being there, listening and letting someone know they are not alone can mean so much.That is what I wanted this box to do.It isn't intended to take away someone's grief or make things better. It's simply a thoughtful way to say:
I'm here. I'm thinking of you. You don't have to go through this alone.
